VIDEO REFLECTION – Round 2 of Class Visits

Remember that this is not an evaluative tool – it is for self reflection and professional growth!

According to Dr. Reeves, the second characteristic of the
accountable teacher is reflection. (p.52, Accountability for Learning) 
The gathering of information on professional practice is of little
value unless it includes regular reflection based on these questions:

v     What worked well?

v     After observing myself, what might I now do differently?

v     How were my most recent professional practices different from those of 6 months ago?

v     When did I make the most meaningful connection with the students?  What precisely was I doing when those connections occurred?

v     How do I know if the students learned the outcome that I was trying to teach in this lesson?

When emailing your reflection, please try to complete within one week of
receiving your CD.  Please ensure that you have your name, grade taught
and school at the beginning of your reflection. Thanks.
